The Nissan company presented at an exhibition of commercial transport in Hanover the conceptual version of the Navara pickup under the name EnGuard Concept.
Pickup Nissan Navara EnGuard designed for rescue teams working in remote areas with limited access to electricity.
New pickup was constructed on the basis of the Navara Double Cab Tekna version with a double cabin. At the same time the road clearance of the pickup grew by 50 mm — to 278 mm. The concept car received wheel arch extensions, increased side thresholds and off-road tires.
Nissan Navara was equipped with snorkel, new fog lights and blue flashing indicators of the emergency services. Applied a special green fluorescent covering to thresholds and rims.
On the back of EnGuard Concept installed two fiberglass compartments in which ropes, an ax, oxygen tank, the resuscitation equipment and life jackets are stored. In addition, EnGuard is equipped with two removable banks of accumulators with protective aluminum shell which may be used as an alternative to gasoline generator.
Equipment of a truck also included the quadcopter DJI Phantom 4 designed to estimate the surrounding situation and to transfer images to the display of the car. The drone is capable to operate on a distance up to six kilometers and to move with a speed of 20 meters per second. Reserve of battery is enough for 30 minutes of flight.
Nissan Navara EnGuard come with supercharged diesel engine cylinder capacity of 2.3 liters, developing 190 horsepower.
