The Ram brand, division of the Dodge company submitted the new special version of the RAM 1500 model devoted to the Texas rangers on a motor show in Dallas.
The Ram Texas Ranger pickup was prepared according to the program of support of rangers which Dodge began in 2014. The company supports them – in particular, allocates funds for development of the museum, and also regularly carries out charity events.
The main feature of Ram Texas Ranger Concept is finishing of a body and interir – emblems of rangers are applied on a body and decorative elements of an interior. Also Mexican pesos are cut in wooden inserts on doors. Two centuries ago rangers did of them office badges.
Besides, emblems of rangers are applied on rims, head restraints of forward chairs, and chairs are decorated with patterns, traditional for clothes of locals. The emblem appears and on the color screen of the dashboard at ignition inclusion.
What engine is installed under a car cowl, the producer didn’t explain. In the USA the Ram 1500 pickup is available with three motors on a choice – 3.0 – liter V6 of Pentastar (305 h.p), 5,7-liter V8 of HEMI (395 h.p) and the diesel unit 3.0 V6 (240 h.p).
Whether is going to start Ram the Texas Ranger pickup in a mass production, it isn’t clear yet. The management of the company considers such opportunity.
